TURNING ST. LOUIS INTO A NEW MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT MODEL FOR THE WORLD

I myself being a proximate (boots on the ground) within the St. Louis Community, having advance opportunity to communicate with citizens of all walks of life experiences, gang members, convicted felons, single moms, drug dealers, youth, millennials, elders, the homeless, middle class, from the richest to the poorest. Although all have many different backgrounds and different ways of life.

There was one principle value that they all carried with them and had in common, and that one key principle was. They all had deep admiration and dreams of wanting to be better, for themselves, their families, their communities and their businesses. I’ve talked to working class men, who worked extremely hard to provide for their families and children, yet their children were living in poverty. Talking to ex- felons and drug dealers. That say all they want is to be able to provide for their children, single moms who are left to raise their male children alone with no father or male role models around to help guide their male children in the right direction.

These are citizens who want to make an impact to their communities, and contribute something back to society, to their country and to the world. There’s a common correctable era that we all seem to make, without consciously knowing, which seems to sabotage or equity and make its harder to recognize their and our systemic challenges. And this is a correctable era, and its rooted in our psychology at it has nothing to do with our intentions. Most of us act on assumptions that are disproven, we don’t use rational processes, we are using “narratives” narratives are how we have framed who we are and who others are.

These are citizens have aspirations and goals, they want to own their own businesses, they want to be a contribution to their communities, the children aspiration of wanting to graduate, wanting to learn about science, technology, learn about ecology, they want to do more with their lives. We have to ask, what is in their way? What is preventing these citizens with worthy aspiration from obtaining their objectives, often their goals are just to work and provide for their families. We have to recognize the systems that keeping ones from achieving their admirable goals.
